Supporting SVG declarative animation can be pretty tricky (having built a mobile device SVG implementation at a previous company), although a first pass implementation with a full DOM does make it easier (since we were memory constrained, I couldn't use a full DOM). But I can't wait to see a Quartz based SVG implementation... Yum! Glad to hear about SVG.
